Hurricane Dorian 9.1.19 Update

Hurricane Dorian is now projected to take a sharp turn north and the National Hurricane Center’s most recent updates leave the Tampa Bay area out of the storm’s path.

Given this information, unless things change, the Tampa office is currently planned to be open for business on Tuesday, September 3rd after Monday’s Labor Day Holiday.

Local schools, including Hillsborough, Pinellas, and Pasco, will remain closed on Tuesday as school officials say it is too late to adjust plans. Polk County is still closed through Wednesday. Parents of children in closed school districts may work from home, with manager approval.

The timing on when the storm turns towards the north will determine its impact on Florida. The Vector Team will continue to monitor the Hurricane and will communicate again if the storm makes a sudden shift back in the Tampa direction. It’s a constantly changing situation and all Florida-based team members are encouraged to stay on alert.
