Vector Solutions Partners with Bay Area Manufacturing Association (BAMA) to Strengthen Local Workforce Development and Training Programs

A Manufacturing Day Event Promotes Long-Term Growth and Sustainable Success for Tampa Industrial and Manufacturing Community

Tampa, FL. (September 26, 2017) — In honor of Manufacturing Day in October, Vector Solutions, a leader in eLearning and performance support, is partnering with the Bay Area Manufacturing Association (BAMA) to present a workforce development event for regional industry leaders. The event will take place on Thursday, October 12 from 5:30pm to 8pm at the Centre Club, located at 123 South Westshore Blvd, in Tampa, Florida.

Titled “Training Best Practices for Manufacturers: How to Do More with Less and Measure the Results,” the event will help manufacturing and industrial leaders address weaknesses in safety training, explore training best practices and identify the latest technology and tools to improve performance.

“Tampa Bay is an emerging industrial and manufacturing market, which brings both opportunities and challenges,” said Victoria Zambito, SVP of Content and Communication at Vector Solutions. “We want to help leaders understand how to strengthen an already growing market and build on its momentum. For regional operations to remain on par with the nation’s best, we need to educate workers and give them the tools they need to improve performance.”

Vector Solutions is parent company to award-winning brand RedVector, which sets the standard for excellence in online continuing education and training for the architecture, engineering, construction (AEC), industrial and facility management industries. RedVector’s VP of Key Accounts, Dan McGonegle, will lead the presentation and breakout sessions.

Industry leader, Cleve Fontenot, Regional Technical Training Manager of Learning & Development at BASF, will join McGonegle. He will share an unparalleled insight and expertise gained from his 38 years of chemical manufacturing experience as well as his knowledge of recent advancements in learning and development.

Together, McGonegle and Fontenot will explore training best practices for manufacturers, which will help attendees diagnose the learning maturity of their organization at a high level and identify opportunities for performance improvement through training. Attendees will also learn how to use 10 key elements and industry validated benchmarks to forecast and measure training return on investment (ROI).

“A proactive approach to improve the learning maturity of an organization can not only help in areas like risk mitigation, reliability and closing skills gaps, but ultimately can help training to become a mechanism for measurably improving the overall performance of a manufacturing organization,” said McGonegle.

Manufacturing organizations face unique workforce development challenges such as regulatory compliance, workplace safety, production downtime, knowledge transfer, new technology, cross training and more. These issues must be addressed in a sustainable way to ensure long term growth and success.
