Nebraska EMS Updated CE Requirements and Certified Credential

  • NE State - AEMT (eff. 7/20/20)
  • NE State - EMR (eff. 7/20/20)
  • NE State - EMT (eff. 7/20/20)
  • NE State - Paramedic (eff. 7/20/20)

NE State - AEMT (eff. 7/20/20)

25 hours of Continuing Education (CE) due biennially by December 31st even years.

Of the 25 hours (all may be taken online),

  • 2.5 Hours must be in Airway/Respiration/Ventilation
  • 7 Hours must be in Cardiovascular
  • 3 Hours must be in Trauma
  • 7.5 Hours must be in Medical
  • 5 Hours must be in Operations

NE State - EMR (eff. 7/20/20)

8 hours of Continuing Education (CE) due biennially by December 31st even years.

Of the 8 hours (all may be taken online),

  • 1 Hour must be in Airway/Respiration/Ventilation
  • 2.5 Hours must be in Cardiovascular
  • 0.5 Hours must be in Trauma
  • 3 Hours must be in Medical
  • 1 Hour must be in Operations

NE State - EMT (eff. 7/20/20)

20 hours of Continuing Education (CE) due biennially by December 31st odd years.

Of the 20 hours (all may be taken online),

  • 1.5 Hours must be in Airway/Respiration/Ventilation
  • 6 Hours must be in Cardiovascular
  • 1.5 Hours must be in Trauma
  • 6 Hours must be in Medical
  • 5 Hours must be in Operations

NE State - Paramedic (eff. 7/20/20)

30 hours of Continuing Education (CE) due biennially by December 31st even years.

Of the 30 hours (all may be taken online),

  • 3.5 Hours must be in Airway/Respiration/Ventilation
  • 8.5 Hours must be in Cardiovascular
  • 3 Hours must be in Trauma
  • 8.5 Hours must be in Medical
  • 6.5 Hours must be in Operations
