The capabilities of 3D modeling have opened the doors to build true-to-life representations of our three dimensional environment. These representations can then be used to automate all tasks that occur during the lifecycle of construction projects. The most commonly known 3D model technology is BIM, but there is also BRIM and CIM.
Modern tools offer new opportunities for architecture, engineering and construction professionals. In particular, 3D engineered construction models establish a clear rendering of the structure you are working on, making it much easier to anticipate any issues that may come up over the course of the project. Of course, all of these benefits only come if you’re able to integrate 3D modeling into your everyday workflows.
