National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians Extends Deadline and Modifies Requirements for 2020 Recertification

Due to the growing COVID-19 pandemic, the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) announced on March 13, 2020 that the current recertification cycle deadline for Nationally Registered EMS personnel has been extended from March 31, 2020 to June 30, 2020.

Modifications also included a deadline extension to June 30 for all certifications with an expiration date of March 31, no late fees for submissions after March 31, and limitations for Distributive Education (DE) have been removed to allow all continuing education to be completed outside of classrooms.
