Overview
Recorded Tuesday, June 22
Since the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) issued its first proposed rulemaking in 2010, airports have been carefully tracking the agency's efforts to mandate a safety management system (SMS) for airports certificated under Part 139.
As DOT Secretary Pete Buttigieg settles into office, the transportation industry should reasonably expect to see renewed progress toward a number of stalled regulations, including the publication of a final SMS rule.
This webinar will cover:
- The components of an SMS
- Updates on potential forthcoming FAA SMS rulemaking under the Biden Administration
- Tools and solutions that can assist airports in achieving a compliant SMS
