2021 International Building Code & More: Assembly Spaces

This course addresses the 2021 International Building Code (IBC)® requirements related to the design and construction of Group A assembly spaces. It will address the differences between the various Group A occupancies and how assembly uses may fit within the business and educational occupancy classifications. It covers the unique aspects of the IBC related to assembly uses; the ICC 300 Standard for Bleachers, Folding and Telescopic Seating, and Grandstands; and the special egress provisions of IBC® Section 1030. International Fire Code (IFC) provisions related to places of assembly, such as limitations on open flames, combustibles, and finishes, will also be addressed.
