There is not a one-size-fits-all approach in regard to how a given jurisdiction handles an active shooter event. This in-depth course incorporates the National Fire Protection Association's NFPA 3000 (PS) Standard for an Active Shooter/Hostile Event Response (ASHER) Program standard, along with other recommended practices from law enforcement, fire rescue, and emergency medical service (EMS) resources, echoing the NFPA® statement on equivalency.
