2021 International Building Code & More: Finish and Furniture Selection
This course addresses the 2021 International Building Code (IBC®) requirements related to the selection of finishes and furniture. It describes the various types of finishes and furniture, and the tests that are used to evaluate them. While the scale and scope of the tests can vary, along with the standards for the different types of finishes and furnishings, the goal is still the same: to minimize the spread of a fire. The course also covers sustainability and accessibility requirements and other code restrictions that are important for the safety and well being of a building’s occupants. It concludes with a “Finish and Furniture Selection” checklist that can assist you in the selection of finishes and/or furniture and help make sure you have covered all the necessary steps.
