Cybersecurity Awareness for Educational Leaders: Creating a Cybersecurity Culture

Nearly all large educational institutions have embedded security measures in their departments and processes, and employee awareness is an important component of security. Even though all data breaches can be tied back to application vulnerability, you’d be surprised at what actually leads to that vulnerability. Every day, the information security deparment stays busy defending and cleaning on behalf of employees that made a bad decision or clicked a bad link in an email. This course will discuss the importance of security, identify how educational leaders can support security culture, list the roles of different departments in supporting security culture, list the roles and responsibilities of cybersecurity culture (CSC) team members, and describe the difference between supporting the CSC as a manager and as a leader.
