Florida: Building Inspector’s Laws and Rules 2

This course provides three hours of training for Florida Building Inspectors. The Florida Statutes and Regulations regulating building inspectors are set forth with annotations elaborating on the concepts contained therein. Multiple-choice questions throughout the course encourage you to review and retain the material. It is crucial you understand the rules governing your profession. The profession of Building Inspector in Florida is governed by the Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR). The DBPR has the authority to make rules, administer licensing examinations, set fees and oversee disciplinary proceedings. In this course we will review FS Chapter 553 Building Construction Standards, known as the Florida Building Codes Act, including definitions, intent, specific powers of the commission, enforcement, and product evaluation and approval, and much more.
