CAPCE CEH Certification Level: Basic

Body temperature is an integral part of our body’s function. Like most of our body systems, we live in a narrow range of temperatures. Moving outside this range can have adverse effects. Several factors, both internal and external, can raise and lower our temperature and can have severe consequences. These conditions can result from environmental heat (heat produced outside the body) in extreme temperatures, as well as extreme exercise and pathological or drug-induced fevers. For the scope of this course, extreme temperatures will be defined as temperatures significantly higher than normal body temperatures.
