HIV/AIDS Awareness

This course is a tutorial designed for all staff members that focuses on the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and the disease of Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS). Both the virus and the disease are examined from the perspectives of impact to students and impact to the workplace. This course covers the history and epidemiology of HIV and AIDS, methods of transmission of HIV, universal precautions to mitigate the risks of virus transmission, treatments and prognosis for individuals with HIV or AIDS, and confidentiality and rights of workers with HIV or AIDS.

She also serves as the lead nurse and coordinates health and safety training programs for district employees.
