Positive Youth Development in the Classroom

62 m

Positive Youth Development in the Classroom introduces educators to a strengths-based framework that views students as assets to be developed rather than problems to be fixed. Grounded in the Five Cs—Competence, Confidence, Connection, Character, and Caring—the course explores how classroom practice, relationships, SEL, and family–community partnerships work together to support whole-child development. Emphasizing integration over add-on programs, participants learn how to apply PYD as a practical lens for creating inclusive, engaging, and developmentally responsive learning environments.
