Safety Basics for Security Staff

The goal of this course is to make security staff more aware of the students, surroundings and events on your school campus in order to prevent injuries to yourself and others. This course will cover proper preparation to avoid injuries, the importance of students’ words, how to recognize specific student behaviors that can lead to problems, the use of safer communications with students, and how to avoid physical encounters.
