The Epilepsy Foundation is a non-profit national foundation, headquartered in Bowie, Maryland, dedicated to the welfare of people with epilepsy and seizure disorders. The mission of the Epilepsy Foundation is to lead the fight to overcome the challenges of living with epilepsy and to accelerate therapies to stop seizures, find cures, and save lives. For more than five decades, the Epilepsy Foundation and our network of nearly 50 partners have helped to: Connect people to treatment, support and resources; Fund innovative research and the training of specialists; and Educate the public about epilepsy and seizure first aid. The Epilepsy Foundation is accredited by the International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training (IACET). IACET is recognized internationally as a standard development organization and accrediting body that promotes quality continuing education and training.
