Gary R. McHone, MA, CPM, LCC
Gary holds a Bachelor of Arts in Homeland Security and Master of Arts in Criminal Justice. He also holds a Master Peace Officer license and is a graduate of the FBI Command College, LEMIT and ILEA. Gary has over 29 years of comprehensive law enforcement service. Gary began his law enforcement service in the United States Air Force as a law enforcement patrolman (Security Police) in 1991. He is a veteran of Operation Desert Storm. After his active duty service with the Air Force, he joined the City of Austin Police Department where he served as a Patrol Officer. Gary began serving with the Town of Prosper Police Department in 2001 as a Police Captain and was instrumental in the department’s rapid growth and development, he was promoted to Assistant Chief of Police in 2010. He retired from PPD in late 2017. Prior to joining the PPD, he also served with the Southern Methodist University Police Department where he rose through the ranks to Police Lieutenant. Gary currently serves as Police Chief and EMC for the City of Muleshoe, Texas and also serves as Subject Matter Expert and a Law Enforcement Advisor.
