The Department of Labor has set its sights in 2019 on workplace violence prevention, particularly for healthcare workers. In addition, a new bill in congress - the Workplace Violence Prevention for Health Care and Social Service Workers Act (H.R. 1309) - would require the Labor Department to promulgate a specific workplace violence prevention standard under OSHA. But for now, no standard exists.
