Law enforcement officers are exposed to trauma at a much higher rate than the average American. As the culture of law enforcement shifts from not talking or dealing with the effects of trauma on officers to a push for better wellness programs and support, more police departments and agencies are beginning to introduce new initiatives such as peer support groups, in-house nurses and therapists, and other mental health resources.
Technology can offer tools that support the effectiveness of these programs, minimize burnout, retain officers for longer and safeguard their wellbeing.
In this webinar we discussed:
- Documenting exposures to critical indents and notating upcoming incident anniversaries
- Identifying officers who might need additional mental health support
- Setting up reminders for follow-up peer support can help protect the health and wellbeing of your first responders
- Delivering and tracking behavioral health training
