Vector Solution's US&R Training Credential

Vector Solutions released a new and customizable US&R training credential to train and track your team’s initial certification and ongoing annual requirements. Easily combining course materials and task books to provide a US&R credentialing pathway for your team.

About US&R

According to the FEMA website, “the National Urban Search & Rescue (US&R) Response System, established under the authority of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in 1989, is a framework for organizing federal, state and local partner emergency response teams as integrated federal disaster response task forces. The 28 US&R task forces can be deployed by FEMA to a disaster area to provide assistance in structural collapse rescue, or they may be pre-positioned when a major disaster threatens a community. Each task force is composed of members specializing in search, rescue, medicine, hazardous materials, logistics and planning, including technical specialists such as physicians, structural engineers and canine search teams.”

Customizable US&R Template

Agencies using the Vector Learning Management System (LMS), commonly known as the TargetSolutions LMS, can now import a customizable template to train for, and track, their US&R Initial Requirements and US&R Annual Requirements. Saving Administrators a full day’s worth of setup time, LMS customers can contact their Customer Success Manager to have the complete listing of trainings and tests loaded into their LMS task books and credentials to easily train and qualify members of their team who wish to join the federal US&R team.
