RedVector to Offer Complimentary Sexual Harassment Prevention Training In the Fight to Keep Workplaces Safe

    Industry:

    Multiple Industries

    Solution:

    Online Training

    Release date: 12/5/2017

In light of the alarming number of sexual misconduct reports in the news, leading eLearning and performance support provider RedVector will offer customers complimentary sexual harassment training courses to help create healthier, safer work environments.

RedVector, the leader in eLearning and performance support solutions for the architecture, engineering, construction (AEC), industrial, facility management and IT industries, will offer all enterprise customers complimentary sexual harassment prevention courses beginning today.

More than four of every five Americans believe that sexual harassment is taking place in the workplace, according to a new NBC News/SurveyMonkey poll. Additionally, 81 percent said there was some or “a lot” of harassment on the job, while just 16 percent said there was “not much” and only 1 percent said there was none. Yet, only about one in five of those working today said they recently had been involved in discussions or training, or seen changes in policy.

“We’re extremely troubled by the number of sexual misconduct incidents we’ve seen in the news recently,” said Victoria Zambito, Senior Vice President, Content & Communication. “We will work to increase attention, awareness and preventative action by offering customers complimentary harassment prevention training courses. Ultimately, the goal is to ensure every employee feels safe, comfortable and unencumbered in their professional pursuits.

”RedVector’s sexual harassment prevention training teaches both employees and supervisors how to recognize harassment and what to do when it occurs. These courses meet compliance requirements in states such as California, which has mandatory harassment training requirements (as does Maine and Connecticut).

In California, under AB 1825 all employers with 50 or more employees are required to provide two hours of training in the prevention of sexual harassment for their supervisors every two years. The AB 2053 amendment mandates that education on abusive conduct, or what is commonly known as “bullying,” be included in that training.
