Faster Rollout. Flexible Control. Ready Teams.
Industry:
Solution:
The Difference Premier Implementation and an Adaptable Platform Make
It’s all stemming from good intentions: bringing on new technology that boosts efficiency, strengthens compliance, and simplifies the time-consuming processes that drain your team. But then the implementation phase hits and your admins for the new system are overwhelmed with data gathering and pre-work required for a successful rollout.
Onboarding is time-consuming. You discover the system doesn’t account for how your teams actually work. The risk of a failed launch climbs. And then, once you’re live, there’s a longer-term problem: if the software doesn’t allow your department to make changes on the fly, you’re reliant on the vendor every time something needs to be adjusted. As your crew evolves and grows, optimization gets compromised and it shows in your productivity. You wanted to simplify operations. Instead, you’re managing another headache.
It doesn’t have to be this way.
Readiness at Launch and Beyond
Vector Solutions’ unified agency readiness platform is built on the foundational belief that technology should strengthen operations, not overburden them. Our proven solutions are designed to stand up quickly, be intuitive for the entire team to use, and flexible enough to scale and allow your system admins to adjust as your needs change over time.
Because every department is unique, self-serviceability following a comprehensive, guided implementation methodology is the secret sauce to long-term success with minimal frustration when adopting complex tools. Your staffing model, your training priorities, your equipment configurations, and your operational goals. You shouldn’t be forced into a vendor’s template to bring on new tools. And when your needs change, you shouldn’t be waiting on support to modify the system. You should be able to adapt the system as needed on your own.
The Vector Approach: Speed, Guidance, and Independence
Vector Solutions follows a methodology that delivers on this promise; the four phases include: Plan, Build, Launch, Support. Every product across our platform uses it. Every customer gets it, regardless of size or spend. And the results speak for themselves: our public sector implementation team averages implementations in 60 to 90 days, and we maintain customer satisfaction scores well above world-class standards.

Plan
We work with you to understand your goals. Not just what you want the software to do, but what success looks like for your department in twelve months. What’s your biggest pain point? What does operational readiness mean to you? We’re aligning with your vision from day one.
Vice President of Customer Services Dan White explains, “We follow a methodology that is critical to the customer: plan, build, launch, support. We follow this with every customer, whether you spend $1,000 or $100,000. And it’s important in public sector to have that human touch.”
Build
We know compiling data to migrate to a new system can be half the battle. Many vendors require data like rosters, task books, inventory, and staffing rules to be provided in a strict format for importing. That often slows down progress or leads to inefficient setup, as most departments don’t have data documented in the requested formats, requiring personnel to take the time and effort to chase down data or forego setting up core capabilities meant to support operations. This is why we work closely with departments and leverage smart tools to capture details and document requirements in formats they already use to reduce this burden and speed up time to value.
Launch
Once we make sure everything is working the way your team does, we empower you to manage your site using a “Teach-Show-Do” approach, so you can confidently take the reigns at go live. By graduation, as you seamlessly transition to long-term support in the knowledgeable hands of our dedicated customer success and care teams, you’ll be able to make changes and update settings on your own, backed by digital resources and live help when needed.
Why Teach, Show, Do Matters
As the fire service knows, true understanding occurs when theoretical knowledge and practical performance come together. We take a similar approach. We teach you how it works, show you how to do it, and work with you as you master doing it yourself. “It empowers your administrators to know how to use the tools they have,” shared VP of Customer Services Dan White. “When you meet them where they’re at and empower them to manage the system themselves, that’s when you get real adoption and real long-term success.”
A Seasoned Team with Real-World Experience
While every solution in Vector’s platform is designed to be easy to use and manage long-term, when you have a more complex challenge, new feature optimization question, or need strategic guidance, we’re here to help. And even though you can create a new custom credential, set up staffing qualifiers, add an apparatus on your own, or make other day-to-day operational changes, we can help with that, too. Our expert support team is a big driver for why customers stay and contribute to our 94% retention rate.
Elkhart Fire Department Easily Expands its Vector Platform
Elkhart Fire brought on TargetSolutions and Evaluations+ after years of using Vector Solutions to handle its complex shift scheduling needs. About a year after a smooth implementation and successful rollout for end-to-end training management, the department expanded its readiness platform further with Vector’s asset management system, Vector Check It. Asset management systems can be particularly cumbersome to set up, considering all the apparatus, equipment, and supplies a firehouse has.
Check It RapidReady took on the heavy lifting through a managed services approach, custom-building Elkhart’s site for them, leveraging whatever documentation they had (spreadsheets, PDFs, photos, etc.), and providing extended support for long-term success.
Now that the department is up and running with minimal lift, the Elkhart Fire Training Captain is especially happy that he can continue scaling on his own as he needs to. “You can do it on your own instead of having to follow up with support and have someone else do it. Pretty easy,” he said.
Quick and easy implementation + self-serviceability = a platform built for how the fire service works.
The Team Behind the Implementation
The quality of implementation depends on who’s executing it. With an average tenure of 10 to 12 years, Vector’s public sector implementation team has the knowledge and experience to provide tailored guidance to every implementation. Several team members come directly from the fire and EMS industry, and have been in the department’s seat, understanding the challenges firsthand. Dan White, VP of customer services, spent 15 years building fire equipment and working with departments like yours. “I still talk to customers I know,” he says. “I sold them a fire truck 20 years ago and now they’re partnering with us here.”
