The report is grounded in two large-scale national surveys conducted in spring 2026, capturing input from nearly 1,500 district administrators and teachers and more than 500 parents of current K-12 students. It examines how districts are performing across four interconnected pillars of student success: academic growth, personal development, health and wellness and safety, and college and career readiness.

Among the report’s key findings:

• More than 60% of districts have adopted a Portrait of a Graduate framework, but only 16% use it to drive decisions. Those that do see stronger outcomes in college and career readiness (+30%), health, wellness, and safety (+18%), and academic growth (+15%).
• Districts that weave wellness, career exploration, and life skills into daily instruction report far higher academic improvement than those running them as standalone programs, 67% versus 37% for career readiness alone.
• Over 90% of districts want vendor partnerships spanning multiple student success pillars, but only 14% are pursuing one, a gap tied to siloed procurement. Just 24% give purchasing authority to a cross-department team.
• Administrators, teachers, and parents don’t prioritize the same signals of student success, a misalignment that fuels fragmented implementation.
• AI is boosting teacher productivity (73% satisfaction) far more than student outcomes, reinforcing that AI adds the most value as enterprise-wide infrastructure, not isolated classroom tools.
