Introducing New Microlearning Courses

Reinforce Learning on Key Topics Throughout the Year
What is microlearning?
You can find any number of definitions for microlearning out there.
But at it's root, microlearning is a short learning activity. Usually a minute or so, but perhaps as many as five minutes. And it's usually designed around one learning objective, or a small number of closely related learning objectives. Personally, I like the idea of focusing a microlearning learning activity on one learning objective.
Here are three common and effective uses for microlearning:
- As part of any training curriculum/training path, or whatever you want to call it.
- As small memory aids to help combat the training forgetting curve after a training session.
- As performance support (also known as workflow learning) that delivers helpful information to workers on the job at the time and place where they need it.
Introducing New Microlearning Courses in K-12
The Vector Training Safety & Compliance Course Library includes ten new microlearning courses to accompany our most frequently completed courses on critical K-12 safety topics. The short 2-3 minute microlearning courses feature real life scenarios designed to reinforce learning after the completion of the full course.
Bite-sized learning experiences engage the learner with short, actionable content. Using a microlearning model of spaced out repetition is a proven retention-boosting method that will keep this important training top of mind for your staff.
The microlearning courses are accessible as a separate version of the full courses within the Vector Training System and can be assigned to your staff in the same way as all other training assignments.
