The Turpentine Awareness course describes what turpentine is, its uses, the hazards it presents, and how to protect yourself from those hazards.
Our new Mold Awareness and Prevention course will teach you how to recognize mold, as well as how to clean it up and prevent it from recurring–information that’s essential to a safe and healthy environment at work and at home.
The Pump Basics course discusses the construction and operation of the two most basic types of pumps: positive displacement and centrifugal. In addition to explaining how pumps function, it also covers some of the common terms that are used to describe pump performance.
Our new Process Control Fundamentals explains the “process control loop” and discusses open and closed loop controllers, providing specific examples of each.
Our Heat Exchanger Basics course details the three heat-transferring methods used by heat exchangers and explains how heat exchangers are classified. It also illustrates common heat exchangers types, such as shell-and-tube, plate, extended surface, and regenerative heat exchangers.
The new Lubricants and Oils course covers what lubricants are, what they are made of, and common types of lubricants. This course also illustrates the differences between common lubricating methods as well as safe storage and handling requirements.
Our brand-spanking new Measurement–Temperature, Force, and Fluid Properties course covers the terminology needed to accurately monitor and measure equipment, as well as the measuring units and techniques that apply to temperature, force, and fluids. It also discusses the challenges associated with measuring different physical properties.
Our Matter States and Temperatures course illustrates the types and properties of matter states, and concludes with a discussion of temperature scales and the different types of heat transfer.
