Accessible Learning: Avoiding Ableism in Education

People with disabilities are a diverse group. How people choose to identify themselves, whether as a disabled person, a person with a disability, or by a specific condition is a personal decision. It might change depending on the situation or even the part of the country that the person is from. The purpose of this course is to educate you about the range of disabilities, the laws pertaining to treatment of individuals with disabilities, and the role you play as an educator in serving your students, their families, and your colleagues.
