CSAP 12a Student to Student Boundaries (Elementary)

Thirty to forty precent of childhood sexual abuse happens at the hands of other minors, so school leaders have a responsibility to understand the risk and make every effort to prevent it from happening on campus and within school programs. This video will look at the reasons children touch each other sexually, how to recognize when their touch is inappropriate, and how to respond to ensure all students involved receive the help they need. In addition, we will share a series of boundaries that will minimize the risk of inappropriate sexual behavior between children.

Diane Cranley is the author of 8 Ways to Create their Fate: Protecting the Sexual Innocence of Children in Youth-Serving Organizations and a child sexual abuse prevention consultant. Diane is working with insurers, JPAs, County Departments of Education, and school districts to create a brighter and safer tomorrow for our children.
