Dyslexia: Identification and Assessment for Informing Instruction

Lynne Loeser, MEd, works as an independent consultant with Voyager Sopris West as a national trainer providing Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling (LETRS). She has worked in public education for more than 40 years, including as a special education teacher, beginning teacher mentor, instructional coach and professional development trainer. She recently retired from the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction as the statewide consultant for specific learning disabilities and ADHD where she spearheaded a statewide initiative bringing awareness and knowledge of dyslexia to educators; co-developing a course on dyslexia; and creating a team of more than 80 trainers across the state.
