Hazing Prevention in K12 Environments

Hazing is a dangerous practice taking place on and off campuses across the country. While certain activities, groups, organizations, and clubs use certain rituals to initiate members may seem innocuous, oftentimes these behaviors can escalate, creating harassing and sometimes violent and tragic criminal acts. This course will also cover the definition of hazing, health and legal risks, and your responsibility. This course will help employees define the key components of hazing, explain why it occurs and by whom, and identify ways to recognize, address and prevent hazing at your institution.
