To promote insights about the factors influencing their choices to abstain, delay, or engage in early alcohol use, this course provides a first-person narrative approach to a discussion around perceived prevalence, misconceptions, and why people make the choices they do. Paying particular attention to popular and social media, targeted marketing to young people, and social pressure, this course allows learners to practice their refusal skills via age-appropriate and conversational assertive communication techniques.
