Medication Administration: Epinephrine Auto-Injectors

Life-threatening allergic reactions are uncommon, but not entirely a rare occurrence. Still, staff must be prepared to intervene in these instances of life or death. The goal of this course is to provide staff with a basic understanding of the procedures required to safely administer an epinephrine auto-injector (EAI). Topics covered include common allergens, signs and symptoms of anaphylaxis, general administration instructions for all epinephrine auto-injectors, and simple first aid steps.
