Office Ergonomics

Cumulative Trauma Disorders (CTDs) are a type of musculoskeletal disorder that affects the nerves, tendons, muscles, and supporting structures of the body. They’re often caused by repetitive motions, awkward postures, holding static positions for extended periods of time and contact stress while working. This course reviews techniques to improve posture, describes stretching exercises to reduce the chance of injury, and provides instruction on proper workspace arrangement including your chair, table, and computer terminal. It also discusses how to use ergonomic best practices if you’re working at home or on the go.
