Self-harm is a major concern that affects many teens and adolescents. It’s a behavior often established in adolescence, but it may or may not be carried into adulthood. This course provides faculty and staff members with an overview of self-harm among students as well as strategies to respond to and mitigate the effects of self-harm. Topics include: the scope of self-harm, types of self-harm and risk factors, your role in mitigating self-harm, and self-care.
