Twice Exceptional (2e) Students

Children are considered gifted when their ability in different domains is significantly above the norm for their age. Twice exceptional describes students who have characteristics of giftedness along with a disability. Twice-exceptional students have great potential to succeed. However, their educational needs are often unmet, and many have difficulty coping with the discrepancy between their giftedness and their learning disability. This course is designed to share effective strategies for instructing twice exceptional learners. Topics covered include common characteristics of 2e learners, strategies for meeting the needs of 2e students and specific learning tools.
