Author

Laura Luciano has worked personally and professionally in the anti-violence field for over 25 years - Rutgers University for 18 years with a goal to help create a world without violence. Her work focuses on addressing the prevention and Intervention of gender and power based violence. Laura has created bystander intervention, masculinities and healthy relationship programs aimed at students. She also works to provide support directly to student survivors including crisis intervention, counseling and policy and legislative advocacy. In addition to her role on campus, she is a former Chair of the Board of Trustees for the New Jersey Coalition Against Sexual Assault (NJCASA) and is an appointed member and Chair of the New Jersey Governor’s Advisory Council Against Sexual Violence. She believes in mentoring future generations of professionals and engages in this through teaching ungraduated, graduate and professional learners in various fields of study.
