Schools are dynamic environments with multiple priorities competing for our time and attention. How do we move into sustained action in fully implementing our intention to create a positive school culture and build the supportive, caring environment we know is possible?

Schools around the country are working to address declines in mental health and increases in chronic absenteeism. While we are clear that we want to take action on building psychological safety and improving school climate, it is sometimes difficult to know how to begin.

In this session, participants will learn important strategies for moving from wanting change to actually creating it at their school. They will leave with a plan for building a school culture leadership team to guide the work collaboratively and beginning to look at data for addressing the most urgent issues in their own setting.

Learning Objectives

During the webinar, we will:

  • Identify appropriate team members for a school culture and climate leadership team.
  • Learn how to leverage data to pinpoint urgent issues at your school/district.
  • Understand the need to select one or two high-leverage practices to begin with.
  • Consider how you can embed school culture and climate goals into daily routines and practices.
