Safety Challenge: Become the Energy Source Detective
A workplace incident has occurred, but before the investigation can begin, hidden hazardous energy sources must be identified and secured. In this immersive 360° gamified learning experience, players take on the role of a safety investigator tasked with exploring realistic industrial environments, uncovering concealed hazards, and solving the mystery behind each incident.
Learners begin with a mini-game that reinforces recognition of hazardous energy types, including electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, gravity, thermal, chemical, and engulfment hazards. They then progress through interactive investigation scenes where they inspect equipment, verify hazardous energy sources, and classify each type of energy before the investigation can safely proceed.
Once hazards are controlled, players analyze clues from the incident scene to determine which energy source caused the event. Through exploration, critical thinking, and scenario-based problem solving, learners strengthen their hazard recognition and energy isolation awareness while reinforcing the importance of lockout/tagout and safe investigation practices.
