Helping Students with ADHD

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 11% of children ages 4-17 have been diagnosed with ADHD. October is ADHD Awareness Month, and since nearly every staff member will interact with students diagnosed with ADHD, it's a good time to make sure that they have a foundational understanding of ADHD and are familiar with the strategies and interventions that can be used to help these students be more successful.

Strategies for Better Outcomes

Children with ADHD may be eligible for special education services, but there are also many evidence-based classroom interventions that can help these students be successful in the general education classroom.
