Video Transcript:

My name is LaRuthie Mason. I work for Shaw Industries, and I’m currently the corporate manager of technical education. Before Vector, we were really focused on a lot of paperwork. So files, having to automatically assign curriculum to new hires, and you didn’t you didn’t really know who was newly hired, so there was really no way to track any of that.

You know, it’s just really difficult to track that. In fact, I actually had, my admin, she spent about two and a half to three days out of the week just tracking the paperwork and assigning curriculum. Once we transitioned over to Vector, like, two and a half days worth of work was freed up. You can assess people where they are and if there is a training needed and automatically assign it and recommend courses for them to take.

That’s real time feedback. They’re not waiting for someone to tell them, hey, you might wanna go take this course. It’s automated. Being able to do the observational task list, which is a game changer.

Now you can actually document your observations. They can sign off on it. If you have a leader that’s doing the training, they sign off and it’s still like a two point verification that, okay, we observed it, I can do it, and then also I observe this individual do it and that documentation is priceless. There were no features, there were no activities that could the documentation.

Again, those observational tasklists are a game changer. I have yet to find another learning management company or organization that even offers those tools because, again, it’s not enough to just say it’s a person attended a course. What they learn, you know, you can you can pre-test, you can post-test, you can, you know, observe.

Right? You can also observe in a learning environment as well as when they’re back on the job. So it just kinda creates a path, and you build those those requirements that has those activities in there. When they’re qualified, they are qualified, and they can do the job.

We wanna make sure that we can help people grow where they need to grow. So having that data showing this person needs training in x, y, and z, you can provide that to them. Them, and you can give them time to practice. And then when they’re ready, you give them time to demonstrate that they are fully confident, confident and capable of doing those tasks that’s that are gonna make them responsible and and successful in their roles.
