Health Emergencies: Breathing Emergencies, Choking, and the Heimlich Maneuver

Breathing emergencies can have many causes, and can be very serious. But the good news is there are a few key procedures you can learn and follow to help someone, and possibly save their life. This course provides employees with an overview of breathing emergencies, and how to respond when a person is having trouble breathing or can’t breathe. Topics include: causes and symptoms of breathing emergencies; initial first aid for a breathing emergency; the Heimlich maneuver; artificial respiration; and CPR.
