What is an Eating Disorder? (Grades 9-12)

In today’s world of photo-focused social media, kids our age are super conscious of how we look – constantly comparing our bodies to influencers, celebrities and our friends. It’s easy to develop insecurities based on the media’s perception of the ideal body type. This, combined with a bunch of other factors, can lead some to dangerous behaviors, sometimes resulting in an eating disorder. This module will define the term “eating disorder” and examine some common eating disorders.
