5 Strategies for Effective SEL Implementation

Strategies for a Successful SEL Program

A child’s social and emotional development can have a significant impact on their success – both in and out of school. And social and emotional skills – which include self-management, responsible decision-making, the ability to build positive relationships, and more – will continue to serve students as they move through adolescence and into adulthood, and as they join the workforce.

While the influx of government money has enabled many schools to hire staff and launch SEL programs, good implementation is critical to making sure the initiative is successful.
