Damon Ing Ed.D.
Dr. Damon Ing has a total of 23 years of progressively responsible and diverse supervisory experience in law enforcement. He has served in a variety of supervisory positions and has been instrumental in several high-profile cases that attracted media attention worldwide. Dr. Ing is currently the Lead Coordinator of the Tarrant County College Law Enforcement Academy and is commissioned by the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Department.
He is a graduate of the Senior Management Institute for Police PERF (SMIP) Session #89, Robert K. Greenleaf Center for Servant Leadership, Force Science Analyst Certified, graduated from the FBI LEEDA Executive, Command, and Supervisor Institute, Texas State University Certified Public Manager (CPM) Program, Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas (LCC) #79, and has attended and instructed a variety of leadership and management courses on both public and graduate levels. Dr. Ing graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington earning a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. He obtained his master’s degree in education from the University of Texas at Brownsville, and a Doctorate degree in Education with a specialization in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
Dr. Ing has taught at a variety of leadership programs and is currently on the advisory board for Vector Solutions. In addition to teaching, Dr. Ing has developed a multitude of online programs for a variety of law enforcement education providers throughout the nation. Dr. Ing has had many accomplishments over the years; here are a few. Dr. Ing has been awarded officer of the year in 2009, Nominated for Supervisor of the Year in 2013, the Tarrant County College Law Enforcement Academy Nick Fowler award, Medal of Merit for his resuscitation efforts of an individual, TCOLE academic recognition award (three times), and has owned his own law enforcement consulting business for the last 25 years.
