Kevin Wren is a past medical technician, firefighter, law enforcement officer and director of security for two of South Carolina's largest K-12 school districts. Today he is a school safety advocate at A3 Communications, one of the nation's fastest growing systems integrators.

"There's a ton of technology that is getting smarter and smarter out there, but none of this technology is going to replace the human," Wren said. "And then there are these unscrupulous manufacturers that are running around preying on vulnerable parents, vulnerable superintendents, vulnerable school boards, pushing a product or a service that doesn't make sense for an all hazards approach."
