This customer is one of the largest commercial real estate management companies in the world, managing over two hundred million feet of office space.

The Situation

The real estate company’s Washington D.C. office was affected by the insurrection at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021. As the protests escalated, employees and security needed a way to communicate protest activity and potential safety concerns with each other so that they could keep employees informed and properly delegate security personnel.

The Solution

Employees utilized LiveSafe’s mobile two-way safety communications functionality to send in tips with information regarding road closures, protestors’ whereabouts, police activity and traffic in Washington D.C. “We have protestors leaving I Street and Vermont going toward the Capitol now.” Using these tips, the security team provided real-time updates and safety information to the company through broadcast messages.

The Result

Real-time tips submitted by employees allowed security teams to properly delegate resources and keep the company informed about the events taking place at the nearby Capitol.
