Webinar Description

Teacher evaluation systems are intended to support growth, accountability, and instructional excellence, yet many teachers experience them as punitive, unclear, or disconnected from classroom realities. This disconnect can weaken professional culture and contribute to disengagement and turnover.

This webinar supports school and district leaders in reimagining evaluation as a growth-focused process by highlighting how small, intentional shifts in design, feedback, and communication can strengthen clarity, trust, and instructional support.

Participants will gain practical strategies to reframe evaluation conversations, differentiate support across career stages, and leverage existing tools and data to foster reflection, collaboration, and professional learning.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Identify how gaps between evaluation intent and teacher experience impact trust and instructional culture.

  • Recognize common sources of teacher anxiety in evaluation processes and strategies to address them.

  • Apply feedback framing approaches that support growth-oriented coaching conversations.

  • Distinguish evaluation needs across career stages and adapt support accordingly.

  • Interpret evaluation data as a tool for reflection, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
