Vector Solutions Announces 2026 CPN Seal of Prevention™️ Recipients

Impressive 542 colleges and universities recognized for commitment to comprehensive, evidence-based prevention

TAMPA, FL, October 27, 2026 — Today, Vector Solutions, the leading higher education and K-12 student success and institutional performance platform, announced that 542 colleges and universities have earned its 2026 Campus Prevention Network (CPN) Seal of Prevention™, a 20% growth in recipients over the prior year. Now in its seventh year, the Seal recognizes institutions for their commitment to creating safer, healthier campus communities through comprehensive, evidence-based prevention education.

The CPN Seal of Prevention™ recognizes institutions whose prevention programs meet research-based standards spanning five areas of the student experience: sexual assault prevention, alcohol and other drug misuse, community skill-building, wellness and safety, and athletics. Together, these areas reflect a comprehensive approach to prevention that addresses student well-being and safety across multiple dimensions of campus life. Vector Solutions’ analysis of its higher education customers found that Seal recipients post first-year retention rates 8.5 percentage points higher and four-year on-time graduation rates 9.3 points higher than customers that did not earn the Seal.

Within those five areas, the Seal evaluates institutions against nine criteria grounded in established principles of effective prevention: theory-driven strategies, use of local data and outcome evaluation, socio-cultural relevance, sufficient reach and dosage, comprehensive programming, appropriate timing, well-trained staff, positive relationships, and varied teaching methods. Institutions are evaluated annually as part of their partnership with Vector Solutions.

Nearly two-thirds of the 2026 recipients enroll fewer than 5,000 undergraduate students, demonstrating that strong prevention practices extend across institutions of different sizes and resources. Recipients span the South, Northeast, Midwest, and West, with California and New York each home to 44 recipients, followed by Georgia and Massachusetts with 35 each, and Texas with 34.

The 2026 class also reflects the sustained commitment many institutions have made to prevention over the life of the program. Of this year’s recipients, 130 have earned the Seal in all seven years since its 2020 launch, and 275 have earned it for at least three consecutive years.
