Achieve Tennessee’s In-Service Training Requirements Easier
The Tennessee Peace Officer Standards Training (TN POST) Commission requires 40 hours of annual in-service training for Tennessee law enforcement peace officers to maintain license compliance and receive their annual pay stipends. Of the 40 hours, the state requires:
- 8 hours of firearms training/requalification
- 2 hours Emergency Vehicle Officer Certification (EVOC) training
- 2 hours of de-escalation and duty to intervene training
- 2 hours of public assembly interaction training
- Child Sexual Abuse and Mental Health training
- 4 hours of community involvement
The TN POST accepts IADLEST NCP certified courses to meet these requirements, which includes more than 40 courses in the Vector Solutions’ Law Enforcement course library.
