Equipment Functionality Updates to the TargetSolutions Check It™ Application

TargetSolutions redesigned the Equipment feature in the TargetSolutions Check It™ application for easier management of equipment items and more customizable settings.

The TargetSolutions Check It™ application simplifies routine truck and equipment checks for departments with powerful mobile technology and features that integrate into the TargetSolutions platform.

Since the release of the TargetSolutions Check It™ operations management software, TargetSolutions has already implemented meaningful enhancements to improve user experience and make processes more efficient. This round of updates, and upcoming updates, focus on streamlining asset and inventory management.

The equipment feature in the application was revamped to provide personnel a better overview of equipment pools and individual items within pools. With these new changes, users can more easily access asset information and further customize how equipment is organized.

Redesigned Interface

In the Equipment functionality, items are categorized by equipment pools and their corresponding identifiers – such as numbering, make, model, year, purchase date and the all-new identifier: tags. For quick access to specific assets, sorting features are now in the Equipment dashboard, so personnel can filter through items based on their designated station, apparatus, assigned personnel, or their tags.

New QR and barcode scanning abilities are also available when using the TargetSolutions Check It™ mobile app. Using the camera on a smart device, equipment information can be looked up in just a few clicks.

Comprehensive Overview of Equipment Items

When viewing an item in an equipment pool, an item’s history is readily available, so users have an instant snapshot of its status. Rather than having to go to the Work Orders or Reports tab, users are able to go through an item’s activity log and view details such as associated apparatus, assigned personnel and past work orders.

Customizable Equipment Information

As some personnel may not be familiar with a piece of equipment or are unsure of its proper care, new capabilities allow administrators to attach links or files to items. Administrators can add links to video demonstrations, attach policies, instructions and more.

Additional options for updating an asset’s information are also now editable in the Equipment functionality. These options include taking equipment in or out of service, assigning items to an apparatus or to personnel and updating identification fields.

TargetSolutions Check It™ operations management software makes it easy to complete, track and report inspections for a department’s apparatus and everything on it. Enhancements in the Equipment functionality are just the beginning of continuous improvements to streamline routine processes.
